This is the first named Important Bird Area in the state of Arizona. It extends from TAPCO to Dead Horse Ranch State Park.
Provides nature lovers with outstanding opportunities for birding, hiking, fishing, photography, paddling and contemplation. More than 200 species of birds have been recorded here. Downstream limit is at RM 53.1, above Mingus Avenue Bridge
