This webinar discusses findings from the report, “Best Practices for Sustainable Recreation Management for the Verde Valley.” This report and presentation were developed to assist the Verde Front in its mission to manage and expand sustainable recreation opportunities, enhance geotourism and economic development, and protect the natural resources of the Verde River and the surrounding valley. Over the past year American Rivers and NextWest Consulting researched sustainable river recreation best practices and interviewed recreation management experts nationwide to help inform this report. In this presentation, we outline the recreation management strategies described in the report and provide recommendations for how they can be implemented in the Verde Valley.
