What is better than a Saturday on the River! Join American Rivers, Charleston Waterkeeper, Charleston Kayak Company, and Freehouse Brewery this Saturday, September 19th and help clean up the Scenic Ashley River as a part of our 2015 Ashley River cleanup! This event will take part across multiple sites on the Ashley River and is open to the general public.
Based on the site, volunteers will pick up trash in and along the river by walking the shoreline and paddling in kayaks. If you are interested in cleaning up trash in the river, we encourage you to BYOB (bring your own boat – and life jacket!).
After the Cleanup, volunteers are welcome to join us from 1pm-4pm at an after-cleanup celebration at Freehouse Brewery! Exchange trash you’ve collected for a free beer, and enjoy local food trucks and games. Freehouse Brewery is located at 2895 Pringle Street, North Charleston, SC 29405.
