The Verde River flows through the Yavapai Apache Nation, which consists of two distinct people – the Yavapai and Apache. The Nation serves 2,440 tribal members, and its reservation lands comprise nearly 2,000 acres located throughout the Verde Valley – some of which borders the Verde River between the OK Ditch diversion and the Eureka Ditch diversion.
